She was predeceased by: her parents, Glen Whitney and Marie Gabel Whitney; her husband Max Brown; her siblings, Elsie Whitney, Isabel Whitney, Helen Wedzik, Raymond Whitney and Charles Whitney; and her son-in-law Richard Houy.

She is survived by: her children, Robert Brown (Diane) of Union City, Daryl Brown (Karen) of Cambridge Springs and Sandy Houy of Cambridge Springs; her grandchildren, Tina Skelton, Carrie Murray (Pat), Mike Brown (Sarah) and Tiffany Brown; her stepgrandsons, Jeremy Morris, Todd Morris (Missy) and Rodney Morris (Vicki); her great grandchildren, Kyle Skelton (Deanna), Gracie Marie Brown, Brooke Marie Morris, Kaitlyn Krause and Kevin Morris; her great great grandchild Ryder Skelton; her brother John Whitney; and her sister-in-law Kathy of Everett, Washington. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Mae's memory to the Anna Shelter, 1555 E. 10th Street, Erie, Pennsylvania 16511.
