He was predeceased by: his parents, Gerald E. Brooks and Caroline F. Baker Brooks; and his siblings, Earl, Eugene, James Brooks and Betty Brooks.

He is survived by: his siblings, William Brooks (Carol) of Pleasantville, David Brooks (Betty) of Erie and Wilabelle DeSantis of Fairview; and his nephew Terry Weilacher (Leora) of Union City. He is also survived by many other nieces and nephews.
