He was predeceased by: his parents, Leon Rowland and Joyce Rowland (Rogers); his brother LaRoyce Rowland; and his stepbrother Leon Hoyt. He is survived by: his siblings, David Sparling (Diana) of Cooperstown, Eugene Sparling of Waterford and Leanna Farley (Thomas) of Union City; and his stepsisters, Linda Hoyt and Leona Weed. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
