He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard S. Thompson and Alice E. Thompson (Harwood); and his stepmother Sylvia Thompson (Edder). He is survived by: his wife Jennifer L. Thompson (Bidwell); his children, Heather R. Thompson (Michael Daugherty) and Shawn R. Thompson (Mindy); his stepson Gregory Olson; his siblings, Barb Daly (Tom), Ted Thompson (Carol) and Paul Thompson (Karen); his stepsiblings, Dawn Greene (Doug) and Dan Edder (Bonnie); and his grandchildren, Paige, Morgan, Chase, Shawn Jr., Dawson and Savannah. He is also survived by one great grandson coming soon, also several nieces and nephews.
