Durward W. Burress Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Durward W. Burress of Union City, Pennsylvania, born in Greensburg, Kentucky, who passed away on March 2, 2025 at the age of 92. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Durward W. Burress to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence Burress and Ann Elizabeth Bridgewater Burress; his brothers, Frank, Ralph and Charles; his son David; and his stepgrandson Kevin Shaffer.
He is survived by: his wife Rita Earl Stevenson Burress; his daughters, Linda Daoust of Round Rock and Barbara Wade Brooks (Lloyd) of Cresson, Texas; his stepchildren, Kim Kuberry (Ed) of Spartansburg, Sue Shaffer (Tim) of Union City, Bob Stevenson (Sheryl) of Deltona and Brian Stevenson of Erie; and his daughter-in-law Paula Burress of Falls Church, Virginia. He is also survived by several grandchildren, step grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
A memorial service was held on Saturday, March 15th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Union City Presbyterian Church (37 W High St, Union City, PA 16438).
