He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Briggs and Marcella Briggs; and his siblings, George "Buster" Briggs, Agnes Flanagan, Jean Ballenger and Ruth Dimpelfeld.
He is survived by: his wife Rosalyn Zimmer Briggs; his children, Vivian Wike (Gregg), Joan Myers (Doug), Mark Briggs (Charleen), Jack Briggs (Kevin), Paul Briggs and Pat Schmitt; and his grandchildren, Ivan, Daniel Wike, Cheri Owens, Mark, Charles Briggs and Benjamin Duckett. He is also survived by 10 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild and nieces and nephews.
