He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Mahan and Helen Nirwinski Mahan; and his sister Helen Hutchinson. He is survived by: his children, Erika Pollock (Dennis) of Austin and Richard Mahan of Gouldsboro; his grandchildren, William Ice and Gabriella N. Mahan; and his siblings, Charles Mahan, Jr., Shirley Ralph, Irene Breining, Rose Laning and Dorothy Breining. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
