With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Richard E. Young of Ulysses, Pennsylvania, born in Newfield, New York, who passed away on May 16, 2022 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Ross Young and Eleanor Howe Ramsey; his wife Helen Corrine Bombard Young; his siblings, Raymond Young, John Ted Young, Harold Jack Young and Patricia Conable; and his stepparents, Jack Ramsey and Vera Hanes Young.

He is survived by: his children, Richard E. "Ric" Young, Jr. (Ruby) of Monterey, TN, Robert B. Young (Wendy) of Essex, VT, Robin Freeman (David) of Ulysses and Cristy "Sam" Jeffers (Roger) of Ulysses; his grandchildren, Sarah Izzo, Benjamin Young, Lacey Young, Aimee Vallieres, Alicia Freeman, Alaina Freeman, Sydnee Slocum and Blake Jeffers; his great grandchildren, Nicholas, Allison, Anna, Madison, Dominic, Braden, Zoe and Hadlee; and his niece Donna Powell.
