She is survived by: her wife Hattie Mae Carson; her sons, Curtis Coates (Elizabeth) of Harrison Valley, Kevin Coates (Bambi) of Ulysses and Jason Coates of Ulysses; her grandchildren, Kurtis, Dawson, Myriah, Savannah and Noah; and her sister-in-law Marilyn Bess of Knoxville.
