It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Helen M. Matteson (Ulysses, Pennsylvania), born in Wellsville, New York, who passed away on August 24, 2019, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Lawrence Higgins and Emma Morris Higgins; her husband Ernest N. Matteson; her son-in-law Robert Shelley; her stepfather Glenn Easterbrook; and her siblings, Robert Higgins, Frank Higgins, Donald Easterbrook and Betty Augustine.
She is survived by: her brother Farm; her children, David Matteson (Carol) of Andrews Settlement, Elaine Shelley of Coudersport, Brenda Harmon (Floyd Geiger) of Andrews Settlement, Donna Crum (Doug) of Roulette, Kevin Matteson (Kathy) of Stanley, VA and Tim Matteson (Luann) of Andrews Settlement; and her siblings, Darrell Easterbrook of Bolivar, NY and Lois Luna of Helena, AL. She is also survived by 16 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
