Sylvia (Mattern) Thompson Obituary
We are sad to announce that on April 23, 2025, Sylvia (Mattern) Thompson (Tyrone, Pennsylvania) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, William Ryland Mattern and Lyda Mae Mattern (Hicks); her husband Gerald L. Thompson; her son Jerry Thompson; and her siblings, Jessica Geist, Barbara Gensimore, Louise Foust, Waneta Henderson, William Ryland Mattern and James Mattern.
She is survived by: her children, Jeff Thompson (Sandy) and Lori Thompson-Given (Scott); her granddaughter Hannah Corman (Thompson); her great grandchild Liam; and her daughter-in-law Mary Louise Thompson. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Viewing will be held on Saturday, April 26th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Feller Memorial (817 W 15th St, Tyrone, PA 16686). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 26th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
