He was predeceased by: his parents, Jay H. Shirk and Winona Marie Shirk (Rock). He is survived by: his siblings, Larry Shirk (Judi), Dave Shirk (Kathy) and Deb Burns (Ragen); his uncles, Paul Shirk (Fay) and Warren Shirk (Sally); his nieces and nephews, Emily Shirk, Kate Townsley (Matt), Ben Shirk (Dana), Jarred Burns (Laura) and Justin Burns (Kirsten); and his close friends, Cindy Lefever and Geoff Behrens.
Services for Russ will be held on Sunday, October 4, 2020 at 2:00 PM with Pastor John Collins officiating, but will be private due to restrictions regarding COVID-19.
