He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Shanafelt and Jean Shanafelt (Coble). He is survived by: his wife Pamela Shanafelt (Dean); his sister Mary Lou Calderwood of Boston, MA; his sister-in-law Carole Basile (Joe) of Altoona; his children, Daniel Shanafelt (Amy) of Tipton, Krista Shanafelt of Virginia Beach, VA and Erin King (Dan) of Hershey; his grandchildren, Kaitlin, Corrigan, Keagan Shanafelt, Nora and Sidney King; and his pets, Cody and Vienna.

In lieu of flowers a donation to the Warriors Mark United Methodist Church, PO Box 134 Warriors Mark, PA 16877.
