He was predeceased by: his parents, Jack Eugene Witmer, Sr. and Jean Isabell Witmer (Justice); his wife Olive Witmer (Smith); his children, Vivian Peterson and Gary Shay; his granddaughter Melinda Harpster; his great grandchild Gunner Fink; his niece Nickel Bierly; his daughter-in-law Shirley Shay; and his sister-in-law Peggy Witmer.
He is survived by: his children, Kimberly Beard of Tyrone, Sheila Davis of Huntingdon, Mary Harpster (Steve) of Boalsburg, Terry Shay of Huntingdon and Michael Shay of Boalsburg; and his brothers, Jack Witmer of Bellefonte and Chuck Witmer (MaryJo) of Bellefonte. He is also survived by several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
