He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert D. Lane and Polly Lane (Hosband); his brother Robert "Bob" D. Lane; and his siblings-in-law, Scarlett and Charles.
He is survived by: his wife Roseann Schnellbach; his children, Richard "Chap" Lane II (Heather) and Tammy Lane; his grandchildren, Zachary "Herm" Markel, Richard "George" Lane III and Lindsey Lane; and his siblings, Donald Lane, William Lane and Polly Chambers. He is also survived by his children and grandchildren.
