Richard J. Allen Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Richard J. Allen of Tyrone, Pennsylvania, born in Altoona, Pennsylvania, who passed away on December 25, 2022 at the age of 91. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Gary Franklin and Marion Elizabeth Allen (Fisher); his stepsons, Larry and Michael Stroup; and his brother Tom Allen.
He is survived by: his wife Effie Mae Nearhoof; his daughter Vicky Lee Lang (Steve) of Altoona; his stepchildren, Linda Wertz of Tyrone, Buddy Stroup of Flinton and Mitchell Stroup (Valerie) of Mobile, AL; and his sisters, Barbara Castorina and Bonnie Jo Ghaner.
