She was predeceased by: her parents, Harvey T. Varnam and Lovie M. Varnam (Fulford); her husband Franklin O. Butterbaugh; and her siblings, Ophelia Lancaster, Buena Phelps, Talmadge Varnam and Hodges Varnam.

She is survived by: her sons, Jessie Ordell Butterbaugh (JoAnne) of Osceola Mills, PA and Allen L. Butterbaugh (Frannie) of South Philipsburg, PA; her siblings, Virginia Norton of Shallotte, NC and Cortland Varnam (Bobby) of Supply, NC; her grandchildren, Lovie Marie Butterbaugh-Cates of Osceola Mills, PA and Franklin L. Butterbaugh (Billie Jo) of Gaffney, SC; and her great grandchildren, Kayla, Kayden Cates, Ember and Allen Butterbaugh.
