John P. Meredith Sr. Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of John P. Meredith Sr. of Tyrone, Pennsylvania, who passed away on September 25, 2024 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Karl and Dora Meredith (Cupp); his wife Geraldine Hardy Shildt; his son John P. Meredith Jr.; and his siblings, Janice, Gwen, Shirley, Nancy, Dianne, Bob, Lee and Teddy.
He is survived by: his children, Scott Meredith of Tyrone and Denise Otto of Tacoma, WA; his grandchildren, Misty Meredith-Davidson, Bridget Jefferies, Rachel Meredith, Jacob Meredith, Sonia Jackson VanRosendael, Delbert Jackson and Angelina McMonagle; and his great grandchildren, Shildt, Sue, David, Debbie and Scott.
Visitation was held on Monday, September 30th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Richard H. Searer Funeral Home, Inc. (115 W 10th St, Tyrone, PA 16686). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, October 1st 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Tyrone Alliance Church (2103 Adams Ave, Tyrone, PA 16686).
In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to the Tyrone Football Boosters.
