He was predeceased by: his parents, John C. and Thelma G. Dearing Sr. (Carper); his siblings, Charles Dearing and Betty Gunsallus; and his stepfather Cloyd Everhart.
He is survived by: his children, Judy Russell (Sandy) of Camp Hill, Jeffery (Terri) of Tipton, John (Robin) of Tyrone and Reverend David Dearing (Barb) of Lewisburg; and his grandchildren, Kelly, Liza, Lydia, Josh and Lindsay. He is also survived by twelve great-grandchildren.
