He was predeceased by: his parents, Ellis Ray and Ethel Mae Harpster (Garber); his sons, Timothy and Wade; and his sister Ruth Himes.
He is survived by: his wife Peggy Calderwood; his children, David Dow (Marlene) of Virginia, James Jr. of New York, Christine Isenhour of Florida and Tammy Harpster; his stepsons, Robert, Briton and Brady Frantz; and his siblings, Beverly Swan, Betty Miller and Andy Harpster. He is also survived by 3 grandchildren.
There will be no service at this time due to Covid and travel restrictions.
