We are sad to announce that on March 17, 2022, at the age of 81, Betty Scott Marx (Tyrone, Pennsylvania), born in Altoona, Pennsylvania passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her father John B. Scott; her husband Rolf Marx; and her brother John C. Scott. She is survived by: her son Shawn Jones of San Diego; and her sisters, Bonnie Owens and Peggy Swanks.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Central PA Humane Society, 1837 E Pleasant Valley Blvd, Altoona, PA 16602.

“After many phone calls and messages unreturned, my wife and I took a trip to Birmingham today. We were hoping not to find what we found. We were saddened to see Betty had passed in March. On one hand exploring cemeteries won't be as interesting without Betty, she would always be so excited. On the other hand, she will be remembered every time we do. Shawn, Bonnie & Peggy you are in our thoughts.”

In Tampa, Florida she and her mother Ruth were good friends and a big support to me and my parents Bessel Scott and Margaret Scott. I met up with Betty at my sister's farm in Lake City, Florida several times and had so much fun with her. I miss you,Betty and will never forget you. Your cousin, Janet Scott”
