Ralph J. Owens Jr. Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Ralph J. Owens Jr. of Turbotville, Pennsylvania, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 24, 2025 at the age of 99. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Ralph J. Owens Jr. to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph J., Sr. and Gladys M. Owens (Auckerman); his former wife Violet L. Weller; his son Robert Owens; his siblings, Evelyn Waidley, Patricia Johnston and Theodore Owens; and his son-in-law Dean Brown.
He is survived by: his wife Lois Hurst of Turbotville; his children, Ralph J. Owens III of Williamstown, NJ, Mabel Brown (Albert) of Turbotville, Gladys Brown of Turbotville, Ruth King (Timothy) of Turbotville, Richard Owens (Molly) of Turbotville, Doris Lawton (Tom) of Turbotville and Evelyn "Evy" Bartholomew (Dan); his daughters-in-law, Cecelia Owens of Georgiana, AL and Patricia Owens of Haddonfield, NJ; his stepsons, Kenneth Walk (Emily) and Michael Walk (Lisa Marie); and his siblings, Peggy Bridge, James Owens and Jack Owens. He is also survived by 23 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; 10 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, January 28th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Wednesday, January 29th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral service was held on Wednesday, January 29th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Derry Mennonite Church (520 Preserve Rd, Danville, PA 17821).
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions in his memory be made to North Montour Sportsmen's Club, P.O. Box 142, Washingtonville, PA 17884.
