He was predeceased by: his parents, William Diehl and Iola Diehl (Campbell); his grandson Justin Diehl; his siblings, Jack Diehl, Arden Strouse and Ada Stahl; and his brothers-in-law, Marlin Moore, Robert Hassinger, Albert Hall and Robert Litz.

He is survived by: his wife Sharon K. Pursel; his children, Brenda Kay Vanderhoof (Mike) of Williamsport and Steven E Diehl (Susan) of Muncy; his grandchildren, Aaron Koser (Judy), Dylan Koser, Tim Diehl (Brittany), Bethany Marshall (Dillon) and Matthew Diehl; his great grandchildren, Emmett Koser, Michael, Piper, Beau Diehl, Avery and Charlie Marshall; his siblings, Clark Diehl (Peggy), Walter Diehl, Dan Diehl (Lisa), Ken Diehl (Deb), Merrill Diehl, Margaret Moore, Anna Hassinger, Liz Reynolds (Bob), Mary Hall and Wilma Litz; and his siblings-in-law, Donna, Dorothy Strouse and Melvin Stahl.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions in his memory be made to the Limestone Twp.
