He was predeceased by: his parents, Andrew Helmbold and Emma Helmbold (Hildebrand); his wife Ellen S. Helmbold (Montigney); his daughter Ellen; his son-in-law Michael; and his brothers, Clark, Andrew and Wilbur.
He is survived by: his daughters, Florena Shovlin, Karen Weiss (William) and Audrey Cebulko (Anthony). He is also survived by 10 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren, and 4 great great grandsons.
