He was predeceased by: his wife Leola Steele; his parents, Oscar Steele and Naomi Abrams Steele; his daughter Susan Steele; and his sisters, Florence Taylor and Charlene Philips.
He is survived by: his children, Randy Steele (Karen) of New Canaan, CT and Sally Steele (Raymond Biglin) of Tunkhannock. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
