He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Ransom and Joan Carpenter (Layaou); his stepfather John Carpenter; and his sister Carol Ransom. He is survived by: his wife Elisabeth "Lissy" Ransom (Pfundt); his children, Melissa Ransom (Jack Sershen) and Eric Ransom (Jeanele); his siblings, Richard Ransom (Paula), Brad Ransom, Brenda Lanham (Archie) and Renee Hunsinger (Jim); and his granddaughters, Ophelia, Nova, Hannah and Laurel. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Viewing was held on Sunday, September 22nd 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Sheldon-Kukuchka Funeral Home, Inc. (73 W Tioga St, Tunkhannock, PA 18657). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Monday, September 23rd 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Monday, September 23rd 2024 from 11:30 AM to 12:00 PM at the Sunnyside Cemetery (152 Sunnyside Rd, Tunkhannock, PA 18657).
