She was predeceased by: her parents, Richard B. Roote and Madeline C. Baransky Roote; her husband James Barto; her siblings, Leonard "Bud" Roote, Jerrold Roote, John E. Roote and Michele Roote; her siblings-in-law, Chester Kuzma and Sally Roote; and her pets, Cuddles and Rudy.
She is survived by: her stepdaughter Catherine Barto of Martinez, CA; her grandchildren, Sylvie and Jack Howe of Martinez, CA; her siblings, Alyce Kuzma, Richard Roote Jr., Whites Ferry, Clifford Roote (Rosalie), Daniel Roote (Amy), Robert T. Roote (Alyse) and West of Wyoming; her siblings-in-law, David Barto (Nancy) of Reno, NV, Bernadette Roote and Barbara Koich (John) of Las Vegas, NV; and her pet Luka. She is also survived by her numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
