He is survived by: his friend Butch Rich; his wife Virginia Davis (Woolf); his sons, William III Davis (Christine) of Ridgebury, Matthew Davis (Christine) of Troy, Jimmy Ellis (Pam) of Belton and Richard J. Ellis of Georgia; his grandchildren, William IV Davis (Heather Lindley), Kate Davis, Brian Davis (Mikayla Mountjoy), Harrison Davis, Morgen Davis, Corey Davis (Mikaela Schneider), Jessica McClintic, Jamie, Emily and Lily Ellis; his great grandchildren, Logan, Chastity, Breanna and Aiden; and his sister Mary Clausius of Rhode Island. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins, neighbors and dear friends.
