Richard L. Cease Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Richard L. Cease of Troy, Pennsylvania, who passed away on December 14, 2023 at the age of 90. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, John Cease and Laura Cease (Dunbar); his former wife Esther Cease (Cox); and his daughter Ruth Carson. He is survived by: his wife Mary Jane Warner of Canton; and his children, Roger Cease of Middleburg, Laurie Beyer (Jeff) of Columbia Crossroads, Bradley Cease (Cindy) of Richmond and Michele Anthony (Edd) of Palacios.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Richard's name may be directed to the Bradford County Humane Society, PO Box 179, Ulster, PA 18850.

“A very long time ago I was hired to work at Noreast Plastics. I was so fortunate to have a job to help support my family. I have the fondest memories of Mr. Cease waiting at the gate to great us and give the biggest ham for the Christmas holidays. He had stated that he wanted to make sure we had food to eat. So thoughtful and so kind to think and treat his employees this way. Over 30 years ago and I never forgot this act of kindness that he did. Thank you so much, Karen Todzia West”
