He was predeceased by: his parents, Lewis Woodward and Verta Woodward (Young); and his sister Judy White. He is survived by: his wife Brenda Krise; his sons, Richard Heeman (Jenifer) of Troy and Christopher Heeman (Erika) of Williamsport; his grandchildren, Corbyn, Kristen, Chase and Alexandra; his sister Phyllis Holbert (Albert) of Rome; and his brothers-in-law, Kenny White of Sayre, Duane Krise (Delina) of Leroy and Larry Sherman of Burlington. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
