She was predeceased by: her husband Gerald R. Chappell; her parents, Sherman Matthews and Helen Matthews (Summers); her son Erik Chappell; and her granddaughter Abbigail Chappell.
She is survived by: her children, Brian Chappell (Joanne) of Victor, NY and Heather Chappell (Carl Martel) of Big Flats, NY; her grandsons, Benjamin Chappell, Mitchell Chappell and Jay Adams; her siblings, Stuart Matthews (Melinda) of Kernersville, NC and Melissa Stump of Shallote, NC; and her brothers-in-law, Terry Hughes of Cogan Station, PA and Lewis Chappell (Marcia) of Tioga, PA. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
