He was predeceased by: his wife Cheryl Preston; and his pet Boots. He is survived by: his children, Dean Sawyer Jr. of Wasilla, Darlene Sawyer of Anchorage, Angela Jackson of Atglen, Chadwick Sawyer (Veronica) of Danville, Brett Sawyer of Troy and Gregory Sawyer of Troy. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, 3 brothers, 2 sisters as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
