He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Clarence Atwood and Edith Atwood (Robbins); his significant other Donna R. Foulkrod; his children, Alfred James Atwood of Troy, PA and Kathy Jo Atwood of Williamsport, PA; his sister Betsy; his brother-in-law Bill Dehn of Spencerville, MD; his sister Betty; his brother-in-law Harry McClure of Horseheads, NY.; and his siblings, Alfred James Atwood, Violet Taft and Bernice Babcock Barnes.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the church or Guthrie Hopsice, 421 Tomahawk Rd, Towanda, PA 18848.
