He was predeceased by: his parents, John Wertman and Adaline Temple Wertman; his son Bruce Kane; and his brothers, Jesse and John "Joe" Wertman.
He is survived by: his wife Jacqueline Bower Wertman of Trout Run; his children, Rhonda Sander (Walter) of Williamsport, Gwen Barrett (Craig) of Williamsport, John Kane of Williamsport, Brenda Lee (Ron) of Montoursville, Chip Carnes (Denise) of Williamsport, Tim Carnes of Williamsport, Nikki Jackson (Brian) of So, Gerilyn Koontz of Montoursville, Kate Hill (Larry) of Muncy, Rusty Splain (Jessica) of Williamsport, Jeremy Splain of Trout Run, Erica Splain of So, Jader Wertman of Fla, Penny English of Williamsport and Tina Sholes (Rob) of Williamsport; and his sister Viola Earnest of Warrensville.
