He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl E. Hughes and Velda G. Hughes (Bonnell); his son Paul Hughes; and his siblings, Carl Hughes Sr., George Hughes, Betty Vollman, Ethel Collister, Lois Hughes and Mary Wilson.

He is survived by: his wife Sonja M. Hughes (Kreger).

Memorial contributions may be made in Cy's name to the Steam Valley Bible Church, 570 PA-184, Trout Run, PA 17771 or the Morris Volunteer Fire Company, 2001 Route 287, Morris, PA 16938.
