She was predeceased by: her parents, George R. Smith and Louise Smith (Wikels); her husband Charlie Shaffer; and her brother Mark L. Smith. She is survived by: her sisters, Gail L. Sturm (Jim Horgas) of Harrisburg, Ruth M. DeWaelsche (Mark) of Halifax and Faith A. Smith of Dauphin. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
