He was predeceased by: his parents, Louis Augustson and Opal Augustson (Beaver); his stepmother Grace; and his children, Samuel Augustson, Terry Augustson and Sue Alley.
He is survived by: his wife Grace (Bunney); his granddaughters, Crystal Friedl (Brian), Janell Hoover, Danielle Augustson and Leanna Mckay (Rob); his son Daniel Augustson; his grandsons, Shawn Augustson (Melody) and Scott Alley; his great grandchildren, Samantha Friedl, Racheal Augustson, Hailey Hoover, Makayla Hoover, Paizlee Mckay, Brian Friedl, Jr. (Amber), Andrew Augustson (Shawnna), Luc Augustson and Coltin Hoover; and his great great grandchildren, Everleigh Friedl and Hayden Augustson.
