He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles A. Richards and Anna Madeline Richards (Parks); his son Samuel W. Richards, Jr.; his brother Casey Richards; his granddaughter Brooke Richards; and his uncles, William, George, Terry, Richie Richards, Henry and Harlo Parks.
He is survived by: his wife Naomi "Irene" Richards (Groff); his daughters, Shannon Bond (John) of Denver, NC, Madelyn Kelly of Jamestown, PA, Misty Miller of Denver, NC and Samantha Cummings (Curtis) of Raeford, NC; his stepsons, Matthew Mix (Chastity) of Follansbee, WV and Charles Mix of Rochester, MN; his brothers, Charles "Chuck" Richards (Patricia) of Lisbon and William Richards, Sr. of Pottsville, PA; and his aunts and uncles, Harvey, Jerry, Ronald Richards, Shirley, Doris, Gloria and Sis Richards. He is also survived by 18 grandchildren; and 11 great grandchildren.
Face masks will be required and social distancing protocols will be followed.
