He was predeceased by: his parents, Andrew Albert Szekely of Pitcairn and Lavina Lina Smith Szekely of Pitcairn; his daughter Carol Martin (James) of Trafford; his brothers, Paul Szekely and Russell Szekely; and his grandchildren, Jason Martin, Stephen Szekely and Angela Szekely.
He is survived by: his wife Janet Irene George Szekely; his children, Gerald Szekely, Jr (Kim) of Sterling Heights, MI, Michael Szekely (Paula) of Murrysville, William Szekely (Carolyn) of Irwin, Amy Szekely of Trafford, Diane Califano (Albert) of Grasonville, MD, Jennifer Staranko (Scott) of Harrison City, Andrew Szekely (Michelle) of Williamstown, NJ and Christopher Szekely (Jill) of Trafford; his sisters, Mary Alice Baney (late Louis) of Columbus, OH, Judith Glaser (late Edwin) of Irwin and Dorothy Heaps (late James) of Irwin; and his sister-in-law Esther Szekely of Pitcairn.
