He was predeceased by: his parents, John G. "Jack" Downes and Cecelia "Dolly" Downes (Onufer); and his brother Dennis Downes. He is survived by: his siblings, Coleen Collins (Marty) of New York City, Jack Downes of White Oak, PA, Geralyn "Gigi" Downes-Wander of Port Charlotte, FL and Patricia Nemeth (Alan); and his nieces and nephews, Nicole Smith, Daniel Smith, Thadeus Wander and Hal Wander.
