It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Lance Bowes of Townville, Pennsylvania, born in Meadville, Pennsylvania, who passed away on September 30, 2022, at the age of 56, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his father Hubert Bowes; and his brother Gary Bowes. He is survived by: his mother Lillian Smith Bowes of Riverview, FL; his wife Melissa A. Shreffler of Townville; his daughter Samantha Whitmer (Jordan) of Washington, PA; and his siblings, Karen Ress (Pat) of Riverview, FL, Velta Bowes of Riverview, FL, Lisa Bowes Stuart of Lexington, KY and Craig Bowes of Black Hills, SD. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and life-long friends.

“I'm sorry for your loss. I met Lance more than 10 years ago, and he at that first meeting through the last at the Kinzua Skywalk was always talking and living conservation. We have all lost a dedicated and champion of conservation. My hope is you realize that he has left a legacy in his position in conservation.
