He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel Sr. Gentile and Barbara Breit Gentile; his wife Joye M. Shutt Gentile; his granddaughter Angela Gentile Snyder; his son-in-law Gregory Hoover; and his siblings, Eugene Gentile (Gino) and Regina Raudenbush (Jean).
He is survived by: his children, John Gentile (Wendy Talhelm Gentile) of Selinsgrove, Debra Hoover of Mifflinburg, Samuel Gentile, III (Carmen Collier Gentile) of Elizabethville, Donna Gentile Wierzbowski (William Wierzbowski) of Middletown, Anthony Gentile (Stephanie Scheidler Gentile) of Elizabethville and Diane Gentile Klimovsky (Bob Klimovsky) of Mechanicsburg. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and 1 step great-grandchild.
