She was predeceased by: her parent Ellis Davis; her husband Melvin; her grandchildren, James Tobin and Dawn Behney; her great grandchildren, Isabella and Destiny; her children-in-law, Janice Carl and Vaughn Bixler; and also James Adams.
She is survived by: her parent Melba Putt Davis; her children, Melvin "Dook" Carl of Tower City, Kenneth Carl (Alice) of Tower City, Robert Carl (Anita) of Tower City, Betty Bergey (Leonard), Lucinda Bixler, Rose Adams, Williamstown Tobin and Betsy Tobin (Jim); and her brother Donald Davis.
