Robert J. Murphy Obituary
We are sad to announce that on February 15, 2025, at the age of 92, Robert J. Murphy (Towanda, Pennsylvania) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the vast expanse of eternity, Robert shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Robert farewell, his loved ones carry with them the precious gift of his memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John F. Murphy and Mary Calpin Murphy; and his sisters, Joan Patricia Hoban (Paul) and Marguerite Mary Rokita (John). He is survived by: his children, Robert J. Murphy, Jr. of Lake Wesauking and Laura M. Brann (Matthew W. Brann) of Williamsport; his grandsons, John M. Brann and Peter N. Brann of Williamsport; and his niece Kim Rokita Willey of Lewisburg.
Visitation was held on Friday, February 21st 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Maryott-Bowen Funeral Home (217 York Ave, Towanda, PA 18848). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, February 22nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Saints Peter and Paul Roman Catholic Church (106 3rd St, Towanda, PA 18848-1798).
In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions be made to Saints Peter and Paul Roman Catholic Church.
