He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Whipple and Gertrude Reed Whipple. He is survived by: his wife Anita; his children, Pamela McCloskey (Steven) of Mansfield, PA and Bryan Whipple (Lynn) of Canonsburg, PA; his grandchildren, Katey Grace McCloskey-Bare (Zach), Ashlyn Whipple, Zach McCloskey, Madison Whipple, Camryn Whipple and Nolan Whipple; his sister Alice; and his siblings-in-law, Art Allyn of Wyalusing, Karl, Zanetta Tewksbury of Towanda and Greg McLaud of Towanda. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.

The family will provide flowers and suggests that contributions be directed to the North Rome Wesleyan Church in memory of Robert H. Whipple.
