He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph Talada and Dortha Talada; his daughter Jackie Talada; and his brother Harry Talada. He is survived by: his wife Dora Talada; his pet Sandy; and his niece Patty (Ted Binley).

In his spare time, John enjoyed bowling and hunting, and had a unique hobby of crushing cans to donate money to the VA hospital in Wilkes Barre, Pa.
