It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Jean Compton Hall-Kafes of Towanda, Pennsylvania, who passed away on November 18, 2024, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert L. Compton and Marvene Powell Compton; her husbands, Lloyd E. Hall and Thomas R. Kafes; her sisters, Leta Allis and Jacqueline Bolen; and her son-in-law Mark A. McLaud.
She is survived by: her siblings, Gerianne Hoernes (Gerhard) of Poughkeepsie, NY and Lynn Compton (Nancy) of Loganville, GA; and her brother-in-law Joseph Allis of Coleman, FL.. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 23rd 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the First Presbyterian Church (5 Court St, Towanda, PA 18848). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 23rd 2024 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers the family suggest donations to the Taco Food Pantry, or the First Presbyterian Church, Towanda.
