He was predeceased by: his father John H. "Tink" Gardner; his father-in-law Bud Hill; his friend Richard Hood; and his brothers-in-law, Sam Bennett and Brian Hakes.
He is survived by: his mother Mary Gardner; his wife Lorie Anne of Towanda, PA; his sons, Curt Jr. (Cassandra) of York, PA and Billy Jack (Shalee Alexander) of Williamsport, PA; his grandchildren, Cullen, Cohl and Charlotte; his mother-in-law Ann Hill; his siblings, Sno Ann McClinko (Mark), John (Colleen) and Mary Bennett; and his siblings-in-law, Kim Soster, Cindy Stage, Jackie Gibson, Johnecca Taylor and Michael Hakes. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, a cause Curt felt very passionate about, in honor of his memory.
