He was predeceased by: his parents, Clayton Charles Johnson and Gladys P. Allen Johnson Derr (Allen); his stepfather Edward W. "Hank" Derr; his brother-in-law Dennis F. "Denny" O'Connor; and his friend Warren Overpeck.
He is survived by: his daughters, Tonia Harned (Alec) of Herrickville and Tina Pickett (Stephen) of Sugar Run; his grandchildren, Mitchell Pickett (Taylor), Cody Pickett, Savanna Cobb and Rachel Cobb; his great grandchildren, Easton, Olivia and Creu; his siblings, Erling E. "Jug" Johnson (Julia) of Durell, Wayne L. Johnson (Susan) of Asylum Township, Virginia A. "Ginger" O'Connor of Asylum Township and Sheila I. Evans (George) of East Towanda; his foster sister Valerie DiVenti (Sandra Johnson) of Wysox; his caregiver Jackie Clark of New York; and his niece Wendy Gerrity (Mike). He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins.
