He was predeceased by: his parents, Nevin R. P. and Dorothy Arndt (Hemmerly). He is survived by: his wife Mary E. Arndt (Gambler); his son Scott A. (Louise); his grandchildren, Brett (Kasey Jo) and Jesse (Jamie); his great grandchildren, Brent, Courtny, Delaney and Kanaan; and his sister Arlene (Royce Haag). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
